Wickie and the Strong Men

Regionentheater presents the lively children's theatre show "Wickie and the Strong Men" for children aged 5 and up.

Wickie, the small and seemingly weak Viking boy, proves that brains can count for more than brawn. With his clever ideas he rescues the supposedly strong from tricky situations and becomes a celebrated hero.

The play is based on the children's books by Swedish author Runer Jonsson and is brought to the stage by the award-winning Regionentheater in a loving, professional production. Director Andreas Jendrusch assembled a cast of five actors and adapted the script specifically for this theatre. The performers switch roles with great enthusiasm, bringing the Viking world of Flake to life through expressive mime and gesture - including the fearsome Sven and plenty of other adventures.

The production features imaginative set design, faithful costumes, live singing and guitar music. Children and adults alike are swept along, laughing at witty dialogue and drawn into the exciting world of the Vikings - a show for the whole family.
