5th Symphony Concert

The fifth symphonic concert by Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie takes place on 16 February 2027 at 19:30 in the Konzerthaus in Detmold. The orchestra, making its fourth visit to Detmold as part of its German tour, has prepared a programme spanning classical and twentieth-century modernism. Under conductor Simon Gaudenz, the ensemble will perform Haydn's Symphony No. 95 in C minor, Schumann's Violin Concerto in D minor, and Hindemith's symphony "Mathis der Maler". Violinist Lena Neudauer is the soloist for the evening. The programme traces the evolution of symphonic form from classicism through expressionism.
