Gala Concert of Egerländer Blasmusik Neusiedl am See - 100 Years of Ernst Mosch
Stadthalle Weilheim, Germany
32 €
For over three decades, Egerländer Blasmusik Neusiedl am See has stood for the finest Bohemian brass music, blending joy and virtuosity in a way that is entirely their own. The internationally assembled ensemble brings together outstanding musicians from Austria, South Tyrol, and Germany. Musical direction rests with Upper Bavarian musician Elmar Walter, a founding member who has been with the ensemble from the very beginning and now brings fresh ideas as conductor. The characteristic vocal sound comes from Sonja Stark alongside Michael Selig or Rainer Stiassny. As a duo, they give the melodies a warm, heartfelt quality that makes each concert a memorable occasion.
The programme features many well-known Bohemian melodies that have travelled the world as Egerländer classics - among them the "Astronautenmarsch" and the waltz "Rauschende Birken". The orchestra also shows its range with excursions into other styles, including evergreens such as "Mo...
