King Arthur

MDR-Sinfonieorchester performs "King Arthur" on Friday, 18 September 2026 at 18:00 in MDR Studio, Leipzig. The chamber concert by orchestra members brings together works by Stravinsky, Debussy, and Britten, including music for "The Sword in the Stone". The programme honours Benjamin Britten on the 50th anniversary of his death. MDR Studio, the main production and broadcasting centre of the public broadcaster Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, regularly hosts concerts open to the public. The orchestra has two German dates scheduled - this one in Leipzig and a performance at Gewandhaus zu Leipzig on 27 September. Admission is 25 €.
