MDR-Sinfonieorchester is a German symphony orchestra based in Leipzig, operating under the public broadcaster MDR. Founded in 1923, it ranks among Germany's major radio orchestras. It frequently performs alongside the MDR-Rundfunkchor and appears on both German and international stages.
