Aura: Good music is distinguished by the fact that listening creates something more than a mood or a feeling about mood. In a special way, aura here means an expansion of the sensory beyond mere emanation. It is probably about a kind of becoming conscious of a situation.

The mysterious monastery walls radiating silence breathe the air that can become aura when sound emerges from silence, giving birth to an experience of the sublime. Two composers, a singer, and a percussion trio will together shape this experience as air molecules carry their vibrations through the space: Air.

Works by Thomas Buchholz, René Hirschfeld, and emerging composer Jan Lucas (Composers' Class Saxony-Anhalt)

KlangART Vision celebrates contemporary music in Saxony-Anhalt from April 30 to July 10, 2026 at historically significant locations in the region. "Aura - The Perception of a Breath of Air" is the motto of the 7th edition.

The festival honours Miles Davis, who would have turned 100 in May, and his Grammy-winning studio album "Aura". With 13 events, including world premieres, concerts, and theatre projects, KlangART Vision emphasizes the influential work of the jazz visionary as inspiration for contemporary musical creation in Saxony-Anhalt and in connection with the region's cultural heritage.
