Ukulele Death Squad

The Ukulele Death Squad is a 6-8-piece energetic folk-rock band from Adelaide, Australia, blending Tarantino influences with an unconventional approach to the ukulele. Since their formation in 2017, they have captivated a global audience, with their debut in Adelaide and at Edinburgh Fringe earning them the title of best music act at Adelaide Fringe (2018).

Their eclectic music draws from various genres: flamenco, ska, folk, jazz, pop and rock - infused with a healthy dose of dark humour. They combine "hardcore" ukulele with rich vocal harmonies, thundering rhythms, cheeky solos and sensual saxophone.

The live shows of this Adelaide-based collective are so intense they smash not just strings, but the ukuleles themselves. With a punk-rock attitude, The Ukulele Death Squad embarked on a long-awaited post-pandemic tour across Australia and Europe in 2023 with new members, new music and the same chaos that earned them critical acclaim.
