The Sanborn Project - feat. Leonora Tomanoski

Leonora Tomanoski - if you haven't heard the name yet, now is the time. In 2024, at just 17 years old, this remarkable saxophonist crossed paths with acclaimed bassist Hervé Jeanne (formerly with Roger Cicero, The Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, and many more). The two quickly found they shared a deep passion for the music of saxophone legend David Sanborn.

That connection sparked a spontaneous idea: a project paying tribute to the master. "The Sanborn Project" was born - a five-piece band spanning several generations, dedicated to bringing David Sanborn's singular musical legacy back to life.

Leonora and her bandmates have since won over audiences at live shows and through videos watched around the world. "Straight to the Heart" - the title of one of David Sanborn's most celebrated albums - is also the motto of this project.

Expect an evening of energy, emotion and musical sophistication, with the greatest hits of the jazz-funk icon front and centre. The programme will likely stir memories of the 70s and 80s - and who knows, it might just turn the night into a full-on party.
