The Sanborn Project - feat. Leonora Tomanoski

Leonora Tomanoski is 17 years old and plays saxophone - anyone who hasn't heard her name yet should make a note of it. In 2024 she met bassist Hervé Jeanne (formerly bassist for Roger Cicero, The Manhattan Transfer, and New York Voices, among others), and the two discovered a shared passion for the music of David Sanborn.

The result is "The Sanborn Project": a five-piece band spanning several generations, paying tribute to saxophone legend David Sanborn. The project's motto is "Straight to the Heart" - also the title of one of Sanborn's best-known albums.

The programme covers Sanborn's greatest hits and is sure to bring back memories of the 70s and 80s. Leonora and her bandmates have already built a following through live shows and online videos.
