"Musical Landscapes" - Romantic Works with the Marburg Chamber Orchestra

The Marburg Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1962, growing out of a chamber music circle that had existed since 1958 at the Elisabeth Church in Marburg. The orchestra's core consists of 15-20 musicians - both professional instrumentalists and dedicated amateurs. Since 2024, Martin Spahr and Tom Freischläger have led the musical direction. As a founding member of the association organizing the Marburg Castle Concerts, the orchestra performs regularly at these events.

The programme, titled "Musical Landscapes", features exclusively works for strings:
