Cabaret artist and comedian Michl Müller dances the "Limbo of Life"

The Roman politician, writer and philosopher Cicero once observed: "No sober man dances, unless he happens to be mad." More than 2,000 years later, that claim is finally being disproved - by Michl Müller, cabaret artist, comedian, Lower Franconian native and carnival philosopher. His new stage show "Limbo of Life" launched in 2024, and in it the award-winning performer and musician argues that life itself is a dance - one that can, surprisingly, be mastered stone-cold sober and without any serious bouts of madness.

By turns mischievously witty, raucously loud, blunt and earthy, then softer and more reflective, Müller navigates the highs and lows of everyday life with confident comic flair.

The limbo dance demands posture and skill: the bar is horizontal, the back arched, knees and shoulders must not touch the ground. Getting under without touching takes talent and flexibility - and in the "Limbo of Life" that goes double. Müller dances his "Limbo of Life" with a colourful mix of jokes, anecdotes, spontaneous ideas and acrobatic musical interludes. The result is a genuinely entertaining cabaret-comedy show that even manages to revolutionise a philosophical quote or two.
