Wind Quintet Profive

Süddeutsche Bläsersolisten PROFIVE - five professors in a quintet! Top-level artistry paired with infectious joy of playing, in the tradition of the Würzburger Bläsersolisten.

All members hold professorships at music academies: Stefan Albers (flute) in Würzburg, Ralf-Jörn Köster (oboe) in Nuremberg, Albrecht Holder (bassoon), Manfred Lindner (clarinet) and Christoph Ess (horn) in Würzburg.

Alongside their teaching, the musicians perform as soloists and in other chamber ensembles (including Consortium Classicum, Ensemble Villa Musica, and Residenz-Quintett München). In the exclusive ensemble PROFIVE, they bring together professional fidelity to the score and a genuine, uninhibited love of playing - and that is the secret behind the spark that ignites from the very first note of every concert.
