"In Paradisum - Licht leuchte!"

A vocal concert featuring the Kammerchor Wilhelmshaven and soloists conducted by Gerrit Junge, accompanied by a string quintet and piano.

The programme "In Paradisum - Licht leuchte" takes the audience on a musical journey through the many faces of consolation, light, and hope in the face of farewell and transience. Three compositions by Olja Gjeilo (1978), Josef Gabriel Rheinberger (1839-1901), and Michael Porr (1967) approach this theme from very different perspectives and sound worlds. Together they form a searching musical meditation on light and darkness, parting and hope, death and paradise - inviting listeners to find a measure of solace in the music.
