The 6th Herborner Oktoberfest is just around the corner

While carnival season has barely been laid to rest across Germany, planning for Herborn's Oktoberfest is already in full swing: Festbetriebe Böckl from the Upper Palatinate is once again running this popular large-scale event for the sixth time. The festival at the Festplatz will take place from 9-11 October and again on 16 and 17 October 2026.

The two festival hosts, Gerhard Böckl and Sepp Ebnet, backed by Herborner Stadtmarketing, are sticking to the tried-and-tested formula: high-energy party atmosphere, enthusiastic guests in dirndls and lederhosen, and Bavarian beer - Benediktiner once again.

The Herborner Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday, 10 October, with the traditional barrel tapping and musical opening. Local crowd-warmers Mission:2Party will get the evening going, and Ballermann icon Mickie Krause will turn the tent into a party cauldron once more.

On Saturday, 11 October, the crowd-favourite band "Highline" from the Upper Palatinate returns. Julia Schönberger, Norman Schelter and the rest of the crew will warm up the party tent on Walkmühlenweg for another special guest: Lorenz Büffel makes his second appearance in Herborn since 2023, bringing hits like "Baila" and "Johnny Däpp".

The first weekend wraps up with the traditional Frühschoppen on Sunday, 12 October. From 11:00, Musikverein Herbornseelbach takes the stage - entry is free.

The second weekend opens on Friday, 16 October, with local cover band EVE. Ikke Hüftgold returns for the second year running, looking forward to the short drive from Limburg and already reminiscing about last year's event.
