London Brass - First Class British Brass

Founded in 1986 by members of the legendary Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, London Brass ranks among the most distinguished brass chamber ensembles in the world. Since its inception, the group has lost nothing of its virtuosity and fresh appeal. The ten brass musicians set out to cultivate the virtuosity and full sound of classical brass chamber music while keeping it vibrant and contemporary. The ensemble comprises musicians from London's major orchestras. Many of the founding members gained extensive experience during their time with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, and through their concerts and outstanding recordings, London Brass earned its reputation across Great Britain, Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The programme features works by Dowland, Gabrieli, Liszt, Ellington, The Beatles, Queen, and even a song from a James Bond film.
