The year's final concert will once again be presented by Dommusik Speyer. In recent years, the choral pedagogical work with children and young people within Dommusik Speyer has received particular attention. In 2009, a new children's and youth choir was founded. Three years later, the choir had grown so much in numbers that an independent girls' choir at Speyer Cathedral and the Speyer Cathedral Singers could be established.

From these two choirs emerges the KathedralJugendChor, which is dedicated to performing demanding a cappella choral music from all periods and performing oratorio works with orchestra, also jointly with the cathedral choir.

The programme features two cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland", composed to Martin Luther's chorale, which were written ten years apart (1714 and 1724) for the first Sunday of Advent, and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria, which points in a special way to the Christmas celebration.
