GÜLDENER HERBST - Festival Prologue

Let's dance! The young baroque orchestra BACHS ERBEN presents a lively programme in which a variety of baroque dances frame Johann Sebastian Bach's Peasant Cantata "Mer hahn en neue Oberkeet" BWV 212 - sung, fittingly, in dialect! With this concert, the ensemble aims to revive old Thuringian traditions, a subject close to the heart of the Thüringer Landestrachtentanzgruppe: this folk association will grace the concert with dancing in their splendid traditional costumes. The prologue concert thus sets the tone for this year's festival motto "HEIMAT KLÄNGE" - a celebration of the Thuringian homeland!
