An evening that moves between dignity, joy and cheerful exuberance!

Singer-songwriter Gerhard Schöne, saxophonist Ralf Benschu - known for his interludes with Keimzeit - and church music director and organist Jens Goldhardt bring together very different musical styles in a strikingly compelling concert.

The programme they present, "Ich öffne die Tür weit am Abend", introduces audiences to well-known, new and rarely performed songs by Schöne, translates his reworked chorales into the present day, and leaves room for organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach. Sacred and secular music meet with full force and emotion in a combination rarely heard before.
