Ebinger Kammerorchester meets Spitzenklänge - Concert with Simon Zhu

The symphony concert "ebinger kammerorchester meets Spitzenklänge" marks the tenth anniversary of the Spitzenklänge association. The soloist is Simon Zhu - a former Spitzenklänge scholarship holder and now an internationally sought-after violinist who won first prize at the Paganini Competition in Genoa in 2023.

Zhu received his first violin lessons at the MuKS in Albstadt with Renate Musat. His path took him through Freiburg, Berlin, Salzburg and Munich; he had previously won the Menuhin Competition and the Mozart Prize. At his own request, he will perform Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Violin Concerto in E minor with the ebinger kammerorchester.

After the interval, the orchestra will perform Symphony No. 8, the "Great C major" by Franz Schubert. As usual, the orchestra will be joined by wind players from the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen. Musical direction is by Martin Künstner.
