Miriam Hanika's songs and her instrument, the oboe, are made for each other - like a small bastion against all dualism. Whether solo at the piano or with her captivating band, her touching songs possess a warming radiance that cannot be resisted.

As a musical multi-talent, she is a prize-winner of numerous competitions (including Peter-Rohland-Singe-Wettstreit, Friedenssong-Wettbewerb Bonn). In 2024 she received the Förderpreis for young songwriters from the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung. In 2021 she received a music scholarship from the city of Munich. With the Dandelion Quintet she won first prize at the international Ars Ventus competition for chamber music in 2019.

Her second album "Louise" (2021) was nominated for the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis. Since 2018 she has released on Konstantin Wecker's label Sturm & Klang. Her current album *innenleben has now been released on her own label LOUISE. Here the musician searches for universal femininity - always following the path of a unifying egalitarianism.
