Description was written before the event

The Young Women's Choir Berlin spans music from Hildegard von Bingen to contemporary works - eight centuries of sacred and secular music in intimate vocal formations with finely balanced voices.

History, tradition, and modern interpretation interweave directly here.

About the venue: Kloster Jerichow

Kloster Jerichow is one of the oldest brick buildings in northern Germany, founded by Premonstratensian monks in the 12th century. The Romanesque monastery complex - church, cloister and chapter house - has been largely preserved and is considered a key monument of Brick Romanesque architecture. Today it hosts concerts, exhibitions and cultural events throughout the year.
