Live Podcast "Goldköpfe" - the business podcast for Pforzheim with Peter W. Schmidt and Jean-Marc Weiser — TurmQuartier, Pforzheim

LivePodcast "GOLDKÖPFE" with Peter W. Schmidt and Jean-Marc Weiser.

Following a successful premiere in February, Pforzheim's business podcast "Goldköpfe" returns to TurmQuartier for its second live recording. Hosts Ana Kugli and Sebastian Seibel sit down with two figures who shape Pforzheim in very different ways: architect Peter W. Schmidt and entrepreneur Jean-Marc Weiser, CEO of La Biosthétique.

Who are the people founding visionary start-ups or running established companies here? What drives them, what ideas and ambitions do they pursue, and how did they get there? These are the questions GOLDKÖPFE has been exploring for about two years across all major podcast platforms - and now, once again, in front of a live audience.

Peter W. Schmidt is one of the region's most prominent architects. His practice, founded in 1989, is built on a dialogue with place. His portfolio spans demanding cultural and educational buildings, residential projects, and industrial structures - recognised with multiple national and international awards. His most recent work in Pforzheim is the CARL residential tower for the Arlinger Baugenossenschaft housing cooperative: a timber-hybrid construction and the tallest of its kind in southern Germany, nominated for the Architecture Prize of the German Architecture Museum 2026. The conversation will also touch on how high-quality architecture and the preservation of historic building fabric shape the identity of a city like Pforzheim.

Jean-Marc Weiser heads La Biosthétique Paris, one of the world's most respected cosmetics companies, with deep roots in Pforzheim. Founded in Paris in 1948, the brand was developed by the Weiser family over decades into an internationally acclaimed name. Jean-Marc Weiser now runs the company together with his family as the second generation, with offices in Paris and Pforzheim, around 350 employees, and a presence in more than 60 countries.
