Das Ruhrgebiet ist meins! - A Children's Music Theatre for the Whole Family

Kira brings the musical theatre piece "Das Ruhrgebiet ist meins!" to Waltrop on Sunday, 6 September 2026 at 3 p.m. in Stadthalle Waltrop. This is one of two German dates on the artist's tour. The show is a family-friendly musical journey through the Ruhr region's history, featuring characters Kira, Sam, and Jörg who guide audiences from the roots of mining to questions about identity and the region's future. The production combines live music, singing, and audience interaction, exploring questions that matter to both children and adults: where did the slag heaps and mines come from, what did our grandparents do, and how does that connect to who we are today.
