Der Hosenkavalier

Alfred Hellmann comes home after four weeks at a health spa - in good spirits and five kilos lighter. His reunion with wife Christiane is short-lived, however: he finds a pair of unfamiliar trousers in the wardrobe. Did his wife have an affair while he was away?

It turns out his friends Simon Keller and Marcel Höfler have each found a strange pair of trousers in their own wardrobes too. All three are baffled. Searching for a common thread, they land on a plumber named Eugen Efflinger. He does show a keen interest in Christiane, but she doesn't return it - and the trousers found don't match his size anyway.

Comparing the trousers leads to an alarming conclusion: each man seems to have ended up with someone else's pair. The confusion keeps spreading - the mayor finds the butcher's apron in his wife's car, Frau Efflinger confronts her husband with an unknown blouse, which the plumber identifies as Christiane's. Is someone playing an elaborate prank on them all?
