Women and political cabaret - can that work? Absolutely. Marion Bach and Heike Ronniger have been proving it for 16 years.

In their eleventh joint programme "Neu aufgeregt", their topics are once again not emancipation or menstruation. When they talk about days, they mean days full of frustration at the state of things in every variation across the nation: the defence minister calls the younger generation to the barracks, the AfD demands patriotic interpretations from the arts. Companies flee abroad with their production because wages at home are too high. And for the domestic market, we recruit skilled workers from the most remote regions at minimum pay. A joke! Confusion instead of vision. That keeps getting the two cabaret artists riled up all over again. Rebellion instead of resignation.

And so, in the end, they write the review of their own programme themselves.
