Black Sabbitch was founded in 2012 by acclaimed session drummer Angie Scarpa and quickly became a fixture on the music scene.

The band assembled an all-star lineup around her, including Emily Burton (Fireball Ministry), Melanie Makaiwi (Penny Dreadfuls, Scarling), and Alice Austin (Zola Turn).
