Nuclear physicist Alice works at CERN in Geneva, when she's not arguing with her teenage son Luke, who refuses to live in Switzerland. Her sister Jenny lives in Luton in eastern England, sells health insurance over the phone, opposes vaccination, and looks after their mother Karen, who has dementia. The two sisters could hardly be more different. As Jenny once puts it: "I'm Forrest Gump and you're the bloody Wizard of Oz."

But is it really that simple? "The mosquito - that tiny, fragile creature you can kill with your thumb - is responsible for more deaths than any other animal," says Alice's partner. Are people who lack self-responsibility and reason just as dangerous as mosquitoes?

In "Moskitos", psychology and science, fate and personal accountability collide in a sharp drama about the social divides that cut right through family life. Director Jenke Nordalm and the ensemble pull out all the stops for this story that is as emotionally charged as it is intellectually rigorous.
