A Hole in the Wall - Premiere

A play by Stephan Eckel

In the office of Department D, a hole has appeared in the external wall. No one wants to take responsibility, and almost all employees are on sick leave - only Mrs. Schmitt bravely holds the fort behind her piles of papers, warming herself with plenty of tea and rum. Neither the hole nor field representative Maier, who drifts through the office by chance, can faze her.

The craftsman summoned by department head Schneider has only made matters worse. Managing director Wagner steps in and orders a final resort: a "supportive measure". Motivational coach Mrs. Kleinschmitt is to sort out the chaos, settle the power struggles between the gentlemen, and clarify who is responsible for what - so that the hole finally gets closed and Mrs. Schmitt can retire with honour.
