Gold und Silber - The New Year's Concert

The New Year's Concert of the Johann-Strauß-Ensemble, conducted by Daniel Draganov, featuring Alexandra Steiner (soprano) and Martin Koch (tenor).

This year the Johann-Strauß-Ensemble presents highlights from Viennese and Berlin operetta. Alongside the title waltz "Gold und Silber" by Franz Lehár, the programme includes celebrated arias such as "Meine Lippen, die küssen so heiß" from the operetta Giuditta, "Strahlender Mond" from "Der Vetter aus Dingsda", and the evergreen "Granada" - sung by Martin Koch, who won over the Cuxhaven audience at the 2026 New Year's Concert.

Joining him is soprano Alexandra Steiner, at home on the world's great stages including the Vienna State Opera and the Bayreuth Festival, making her first appearance in Cuxhaven.
