Literary-musical evening: 20th anniversary tour "Galgenlieder" - Christian Morgenstern newly arranged
For the 20th anniversary of Club der toten Dichter, Christian Morgenstern (1871-1914) takes centre stage - with his "Galgenlieder", newly arranged by Reinhardt Repke (guitar). Morgenstern himself described his "Galgenpoesie" as a piece of worldview: when you look at the world from the gallows, you see it differently, and he wanted to "spread a little spiritual lightness, cheerfulness, freedom, awaken imagination, just a little thaw out the frozen music of the soul in the posthorn". Fifty years later, Marcel Reich-Ranicki included all the Galgenlieder in his canon of German-language poetry.
Guest vocalist is actor Hans-Werner Meyer (known from "Letzte Spur Berlin" and "Baader Meinhof Komplex") - he will also play violin during the performances. Bassist Markus Runzheimer (Element of Crime) is back again and this time also handles percussion.
