"Kraftvoll" (Part 1)

Musica Viva presents a double concert titled "Kraftvoll", which spans the history of the string quartet from its origins to the present day across two parts.

The first part features the Barbican Quartet - winner of the 1st Prize at the ARD International Music Competition 2022 - performing works by Joseph Haydn. The Hamburg-based Kaiserquartett then takes up the idea of four equal voices and develops it further with their own compositions at the intersection of classical and pop music. Between the musical segments, television actor Sebastian Ströbel reads selected texts.

Both concert parts can be attended separately or combined as a double concert.
