Soulfamily - A Soulnight in Telgte

The "Big Fat Mad Moose", alias Mr. Big Fat Mad Moose, owes his nickname to a real-life collision with an animal in Sweden - he literally swept a moose off the road. After that incident, this unstoppable soul powerhouse joined Soulfamily, and what started with small regional gigs soon grew into the most sought-after act in the genre. Today, Soulfamily is regarded as one of Germany's greatest soul bands.

Building on classics by Otis Redding, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and the Blues Brothers, the band developed its own unmistakable style. Long before the Commitments kicked off the soul revival, these thirteen musicians were already spreading the gospel of black soul across Germany and beyond.
