A lot has been promised - and it will be delivered. A new programme? Helmut Schleich does what he wants. No two evenings are alike. His role model is the government. And so he tells himself: why should I care what I said yesterday. After all, we live in a time when reality outpaces political satire day after day.

"Overtaking without catching up" - that was the old socialist slogan. Back then, Russia built the largest hydrogen bomb in the world. The so-called Tsar Bomba. It was so enormous that no delivery system could actually carry it. Now there's a peace initiative for you. The Americans were caught off guard - they hadn't counted on unbearable pacifism from the "Evil Empire".

Good political satire and politics do share one thing: both want to surprise people. Cabaret has to be like the Tsar Bomba once was - explosive and impossible to carry. The result is a highly entertaining evening that doesn't lack for conviction. The motto: "I'm not serious!" - which, in turn, Helmut Schleich borrowed from the Chancellor. Right then. Let's go!
