Between inner soundscapes and virtuosic expression: Asen Tanchev at the piano

Under the title "Inside Out", works by Franz Schubert, Alexander Scriabin, Olivier Messiaen and Franz Liszt trace a musical journey from within to without - from quiet introspection to radiant expressiveness. Schubert's poetic musical language opens up depths of the soul, Scriabin's harmonic daring expands the space of feeling, Messiaen's richly coloured sound world makes spiritual dimensions audible, and Liszt's virtuosity transforms inner movement into urgent, compelling gestures.

The soloist at the piano is Asen Tanchev. His expressive, deeply moving playing places him among the most distinguished pianists of his generation. Born in Sofia, he studied in Hanover and Leipzig and has received numerous international awards, including at the German Music Competition. He has performed across Europe, North Africa and the USA - at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid.
