A week in dialogue with leading creatives

Some places seem to generate creativity almost on their own - where architecture, design history, and contemporary practice converge in a way that is hard to replicate. The Vitra Campus is one of them. In summer 2026, it will open its doors for the first time to the Vitra Design Museum's new Masterclass programme, welcoming anyone who wants to deepen their design practice and gain fresh perspectives.

Vitra Campus: take your creative skills further

Surrounded by buildings designed by Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, and Tadao Ando, the Campus offers a setting that actively supports learning. The Masterclasses draw directly on this context:

• Exclusive access to collections, archives, and workshops
• Exchange with internationally renowned experts from museums, research, and practice
• Outdoor dinners and shared activities such as swimming in the Rhine

This spatial and thematic closeness to all facets of design culture makes for a learning environment that is genuinely one of a kind.

What your Masterclass includes

1. Project work at the core
Each participant develops their own project - practice-oriented, focused, and individually mentored.

2. Coaching by leading creatives
The Camper design team and landscape architect Bas Smets share first-hand insights into methods, decision-making, and design thinking.

3. Workshops, guided tours, walks, and discussions
Inspiring encounters with architecture, collections, and design
