Trombone in Concert

The "Konzerte im Prediger" series focuses on young musicians, giving emerging artists the chance to build stage experience.

Yannick-Maurice Groß from Herlikofen completes his bachelor's degree in trombone at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (class of Prof. Andreas Kraft) in July 2026. He will perform solo on the Prediger stage before a home audience, drawing on parts of his graduation recital programme. Groß has already made a name for himself through his orchestral initiative Opus 8 across several projects.

His programme aims to showcase the trombone's wide range of expression, spanning repertoire from the Baroque era through to contemporary music and jazz. The focus will be on original compositions for tenor and alto trombone with piano - including works by Stjepan Sulek and Gordon Jacob.
