About the venue

Mathildenhöhe is a hilltop artists' colony in Darmstadt, established around 1899 by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig as a centre for Jugendstil art and architecture. Its landmark ensemble - including the Wedding Tower, the Russian Chapel and the Ernst Ludwig House - was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021. The site hosts exhibitions, cultural events and open-air concerts throughout the year.
