The North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud in Warendorf is one of Germany's oldest and most prestigious stud farms, with roots going back to the early 19th century. It breeds and keeps Westphalian warmblood stallions and hosts major equestrian events throughout the year, including the famous stallion parade held each autumn. The historic stable complex in the old town is a landmark in its own right.
