Hamburg, Germany
The Opernloft is a small, independent opera house housed in the former ferry terminal building in Hamburg-Altona. It stages opera and musical theatre in an intimate setting, with the audience seated close to the performers - a deliberate contrast to the grand stages of conventional opera houses. The repertoire ranges from classic works to contemporary pieces, often performed in German.
