About the venue

The Pfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt in Fürstenzell - commonly known as the Portenkirche - is a late Baroque church built in the 18th century as part of the former Cistercian monastery. Designed by Johann Michael Fischer, it is considered one of the finest examples of Bavarian Baroque architecture. The church regularly hosts classical concerts and sacred music events.
