Schloss St. Emmeram, seat of the House of Thurn und Taxis, is a vast palatial complex in the heart of Regensburg built on the grounds of the former Benedictine monastery of St. Emmeram. The princes of Thurn und Taxis converted the secularised abbey into their residence in the early 19th century. Today the palace hosts guided tours, the Thurn und Taxis Museum, and major cultural events including the annual Thurn und Taxis Castle Festival.
