Night of Culture: Witold Pawlaczyk Photography Exhibition RETROSPECTIVE

The "Retrospective" presents a selection of approximately 40 photographs by Witold Pawlaczyk created between 2001 and 2026 - a record of observations, encounters, places and light that accompanied his artistic pursuits over a quarter century. The exhibition is dominated by black-and-white photographs, though colour works are also featured; the images were created using both analogue and digital techniques, with negatives digitized and prepared for contemporary printing.

Among the exhibited works is a self-portrait made in September 2001 in response to the attack on the World Trade Center - a symbolic reference point for the entire exhibition. Alongside it are portraits, everyday scenes, reportage and historical moments observed by the artist.

Witold Pawlaczyk is an independent photographer who combines landscape, reportage, street photography and nature photography in his work, focusing on the relationships between people, space and nature.
