A dark, shabby hotel on the French-German border - its glory days are long gone, and not everything in it works sehr gut. A leaking radiator, a crumbling tank, mysteriously wallpapered doors…
Heinz - a failed doctor, a ladies' man and hotel manager who never makes mistakes - and the corruptible Kazek, an eternally drunk porter who always knows better, do their best to hide the disastrous state of the rooms. Through absent-mindedness, they double-book the last available room in the city. Inside arrive: Brenda and Stanley Philby, and soon they are joined by English businessman John Parker, his wife Helga and the sexy Simone. Unfulfilled in their relationships, the characters fall into a trap of desire that triggers an avalanche of lies and misunderstandings.
