Who Is Mr. Schmitt?

One day, the quiet life of the protagonist in Sebastian Thierry's play turns upside down. He discovers he is someone completely different - he has a different profession, different clothes and books in his apartment, he and his wife have different surnames, and an adult child he knew nothing about is waiting for him at home.

The world - in the form of a Policeman and a Doctor - tries to convince him that he is Mr. Schmitt. The protagonist navigates this confusion, pretending to be someone he is not while trying not to reveal himself. Amusing, absurd, and sometimes dangerous situations and misunderstandings multiply.

The play raises questions about the limits of compromise, the price of peace, and the extent to which one can turn one's own life into theatre.
