A comedy by Jerzy Dobrowolski and Stanisław Tym, which due to censorship was first staged only in autumn 1980 — after the victory of "Solidarity" — at the Teatr Rozmaitości in Warsaw.
The action takes place in the newsroom of the newspaper "Płonąca żagiew", supposedly in Romania and supposedly in the 1970s, but the mechanisms of state media — from all of Poland and recent years — are exposed and precisely mocked here. The production is above all a comedy featuring a gallery of distinctive characters.
