Karolcia
Polski Theatre named after Arnold Szyfman in Warsaw, Poland
Karolcia's great adventure begins quite ordinarily: a blue bead accidentally found in a floor crack grants her extraordinary powers, allows her to fulfill her dreams, and changes everything forever.
"Karolcia" is a theatrical radio-play based on Maria Krüger's book — about dreams, empathy, and growing up, but also about the magical power of theatre. Actors transform into characters before the audience's eyes, engaging their sight, hearing, touch, smell, and even taste. The performance incorporates elements of puppet theatre, shadow theatre, and radio theatre.
The show is intended for children from age 6 onwards. It is also recommended for children with visual impairments — its form and content have been approved by specialists from the Polish Association of the Blind.
