The combination of raw saxophone energy with a new, radical interpretation of bagpipe tradition and avant-garde guitar sound creates music full of microtonal structures, breathing textures, and swirling intensity with unique poetic energy.

Dear guests, we warmly invite you to an exceptional concert by the LUFT project featuring: Erwan Keravec and Mats Gustafsson with special guest Otomo Yoshihide, a legend of the Japanese experimental scene!

Erwan Keravec is a bagpiper playing Scottish bagpipes, composer, and improviser. Seeking unusual sounds and new ways of playing and listening to his instrument – often outside its original cultural context – he explores improvised music, free jazz, and noise. Since 2015, he has been collaborating on the LUFT project with Mats Gustafsson. He is also a co-founder of the trio White Sands (with guitarist Julien Desprez and drummer Willem Guthrie, 2019) and the duo Nova Scotia with drummer Hamid Drake (2019).

Mats Gustafsson is a saxophonist, improviser, and composer. A solo artist who realizes projects in the field of improvised music, free jazz, and experimental music.
