Butterfly in Captivity — Przestrzeń Muzyki Współczesnej Hashtag Lab, Warsaw

Can one hear evanescence? Experience delicacy in monumental form? Morton Feldman's "Triadic Memories," one of the most extraordinary works of the 20th century, allows you to immerse yourself in sounds that are like the greatest butterfly in captivity – as the composer himself described his composition. This solo piano work hypnotizes, enchants, and invites reflection. Since its premiere in 1981 at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, when Roger Woodward performed it in Feldman's presence, "Triadic Memories" has remained a challenge and inspiration for pianists worldwide - Grzegorz Paluch.
