Cock Sparrer

Cock Sparrer will perform on July 18 at Warsaw's Progresja club. The London punk-rock band has been active since the early 1970s - at that time, the then-manager of Sex Pistols sought to work with them, and they toured alongside Small Faces, Thin Lizzy, Motörhead, and Slade.

The band never quite reached the mainstream. Their breakthrough came in the early 1980s, when street punk reached a wider audience - and Cock Sparrer, hailing from the working-class East End, were among the pioneers of this movement. They cemented their status through their contribution to the Oi! compilation and their cult debut album "Shock Troops" from 1983.
