About

Cock Sparrer is an English punk rock band from the East End of London, active since 1972. Built around the original core of vocalist Colin McFaull, guitarist Mick Beaufoy, bassist Steve Burgess and drummer Steve Bruce - four schoolmates since age 11 - they were among the earliest architects of Oi! and street punk, influencing generations of bands from Rancid to the Dropkick Murphys. Their 1982 album Shock Troops remains the genre's benchmark, and in April 2024 they released Hand on Heart, their eighth studio record, billed as their final one.
