"Half in Jest…" is a comedy about a family gathering for a hot weekend at an old house in the countryside - complete with a wild orchard, a pool that has seen better days, and a heap of secrets that quickly come to light.

At the heart of the story: Harry - a father who "talks" to Marilyn Monroe every day; Scott - a son with the syndrome of eternal clumsiness; Amy - a daughter with a temperament sharper than any blender; Max - a young man who philosophizes about life, though he fears spiders more than his own thoughts. When Marilyn enters the scene - icon, ghost, or fantasy? - reality blurs with imagination, and family quips transform into questions about whether one can reconcile with the past without losing touch with the present.
